A Season Amongst the Fault Lines

From one of my favorite books, “Between Two Kingdoms: A Memoir of a Life Interrupted,” author Suleika Jaouad writes… “After you’ve had the ceiling cave in on you - whether through illness or some other catastrophe - you don’t assume structural stability. You must learn to live on fault lines.”

Coming out of Covid-19 as an events director, I couldn’t have felt this more. Here are three strategies I learned from living amongst the fault lines:

1- Whenever anything feels out of control, set intentional, dedicated time to pause and organize it.
2- Surround yourself with people traveling your same path.
3- Just keep moving, no matter how small the movement.
